Job Details

• Shift: 3x12 hour day shifts (7 AM - 7 PM), with possible changes during interview
• Alternate Shift Option: 4x12 hour shifts (48 hours) also available
• Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in specialty (Medical Surgical)
• First-time Travelers: Not accepted
• On-Call: As needed
• Weekend Requirement: As needed; weekend block schedule may be considered but not guaranteed
• Local Candidates: Not accepted (100-mile radius rule applies)
• License: Must be fully compliant with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) guidelines; pending licenses not accepted
• Large Hospital Experience: Preferred

Required Qualifications & Certifications

• Valid RN license in Tennessee
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry nursing, with experience within the last year
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Background & Compliance Checks

• Background check within 60 days of start including statewide, county, federal, and education verification
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated annually
• Sex offender search and Tennessee Adult Abuse Registry search (TN only)
• Education verification required (diploma/transcript not accepted in lieu)

Additional Requirements

• Two recent professional references required
• Skills checklist and internal evaluations required annually or if employed with agency for 1+ year
• Photo for badge must meet strict guidelines (passport-style, no hats, no glasses glare, recent within 6 months)
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs for RNs; no prints or embroidered scrubs allowed

Notes

• Prior travel experience is required; first-time travelers are not accepted
• All requests for time off (RTO) must be submitted with application; late submissions will not be approved by facility
• Candidates must comply with all facility-specific documentation and submission requirements prior to start

This position is ideal for experienced Medical Surgical RNs with prior travel contract experience seeking a 13-week travel assignment in a large hospital setting in Memphis, TN.
