Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) (Nights)

Job Description

• Work in a 42-bed NICU unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:3.
• Patient types include premature infants, respiratory distress/failure, hypoglycemia, etc.
• Responsibilities include administering vasopressors, sedation, and glucose.
• May float to general pediatrics and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
• Work schedule includes 36-40 hours per week with overtime after 40 hours.

Required Qualifications

• Experience:

  • Minimum 24 months of Neonatal Intensive Care experience (NICU).
  • Minimum 24 months of Pediatric Intensive Care experience (PICU) as per work history/resume.
• Licenses & Certifications:

  • Active Iowa RN license or compact/multistate license at time of submission.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from AHA or ARC.
  • Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
• Other Requirements:

  • Must have completed at least one prior travel contract within the past 18 months (no first-time travelers).
  • Skills checklist specific to PICU/Pediatric Intensive Care required.
  • Professional references or performance evaluations within the last 24 months preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
