Description

Travel RN - Telemetry

Location: Alamogordo, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Shift: Days (7 AM - 7 PM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Provide routine and complex nursing care independently in a telemetry setting.
Utilize nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
Manage psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
Administer medications and treatments per protocol; monitor side effects and effectiveness.
Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers.
Make appropriate assignments and delegate tasks to other care providers.

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
Minimum 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience within the last year required.

Licenses & Certifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico required.
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association required.

Additional Information

Immediate start (ASAP).
Urgent need due to current staffing shortage (department down 3 nurses).
Full-time position.

No prior travel experience required.
