Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel/Contract

Location: Lebanon, Pennsylvania
Specialty: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Position in Pre-Screen Unit; candidates will undergo clinical review for fit and compliance with guidelines.
  • Manager interview required.
  • May care for COVID-19 patients.
  • Tobacco and fragrance-free facility.
  • Weekend schedule: Every other weekend (EOW).
  • No call requirements.
  • Expected to work 2 of 3 major holidays; no return to office (RTO) between Christmas and New Year's.
  • Floating not required.
  • Return to office (RTO) maximum: 7 days.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics specialty.

Required Certifications & Licenses

  • Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) certification.
  • Experience with EPIC electronic health record system required.

Prior Travel Experience

  • No explicit prior travel experience required.

Required Qualifications & Compliance

  • 2 professional references within the last 3 years.
  • Most recent resume/application required.
  • Annual skills checklist.
  • Background checks including:
    • 7-year criminal background check.
    • Pennsylvania State Police PATCH search (must be finalized prior to start).
    • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks.
    • Pennsylvania FBI fingerprinting (must be completed within 1 year of start; candidate may start with results pending but must be finalized within 45 days).
    • Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance (must be completed within 5 years; candidate may start with results pending but must be finalized within 45 days).
  • Education verification of highest degree/diploma/transcripts.
  • Negative 9-panel drug test within 1 year (Aya requirement only).

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NPT.
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years.
  • Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days; PPD not accepted. For positive TB, negative chest X-ray within 1 year and annual TB questionnaire required.
  • Immunizations or positive titers required for:
    • Rubeola (Measles) – 2 doses or positive titer.
    • Mumps – 2 doses or positive titer.
    • Rubella – 2 doses or positive titer.
    • Varicella – 2 doses or positive titer.
    • Hepatitis B – positive titer or full vaccine series (3 doses) plus declination form if applicable.
  • Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season; medical or religious exemptions accepted with proper documentation (declinations not accepted).
  • COVID-19 vaccine or approved exemption/declination accepted.
  • Respiratory Safety Clearance required annually.

Facility & Orientation Requirements

  • Clear, professional, passport-style photo for badge.
  • Completion of facility-specific documents including:
    • Medical Statement Non-Employee Ability to Work form.
    • Commitment to Health & Wellness.
    • Code of Conduct.
    • Confidentiality Agreement.
    • Non-Employee Affidavit.
    • I9 Attestation and Documentation Attestation (agency completed).
  • Completion of Learning Management System (LMS) modules prior to start (for RNs and CNAs; verify if applicable).
  • New Hire Orientation required by end of first day.

Additional Notes

  • Candidate must notify if they use tobacco or fragrances due to facility policy.
  • Candidate may be required to work with COVID-19 patients.
  • No floating required.
  • No call or overnight shifts indicated.

This position is ideal for a Registered Respiratory Therapist with at least 2 years of experience, comfortable working in a travel/contract role, and able to meet comprehensive credentialing and health requirements.
