Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse (RN) in Intensive/Critical Care (ICU), you will be accountable for the care of a group of patients, focusing on safe, effective, patient- and family-centered care. Responsibilities include assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans, supervising licensed and non-licensed staff, and promoting quality outcomes and customer satisfaction. The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, education, and mentoring/precepting staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform assessments and reassessments according to policy or patient condition.
• Develop, prioritize, and implement plans of care; collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Monitor and document patient responses to clinical interventions.
• Provide and evaluate education tailored to patient and family needs during stay and at discharge.
• Delegate tasks, mentor/precept staff, encourage teamwork, and participate in quality and safety improvement efforts.
• Comply with regulatory standards and participate in Practice Governance.

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license appropriate for Intensive/Critical Care specialty.
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care RN experience.
