Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist
Location: Twin Falls, Idaho
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
A hospital in Idaho is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT) for a 13-week contract. The position involves working in various inpatient and ER settings, covering patients from NICU to geriatrics.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Idaho
- Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- PALS certification
- STABLE certification
- Experience working with neonate patients
- Experience in an acute care setting
- Experience in an inpatient setting
Job Duties
- Perform ABGs: draw and analyze.
- Administer breathing treatments, BiPAP, CPAP, and ventilator management.
- Assist with intubation and may place an LMA.
- May assist with bedside bronchoscopies.
- No EKG responsibilities.
Work Environment & Schedule
- Patient types: ICU, stepdown, MedSurg, small Pediatrics unit (no PICU), level III NICU with occasional vent use.
- Equipment used: Drager vents, Cervo-NICU, Hamilton transport vent, Vapotherm, Philips V60 and V30.
- Shifts: 12-hour shifts (6 AM - 6 PM), self-scheduling with block scheduling options.
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend.
- Holiday work: As needed.
- Call/standby: Low census per contract.
- Floating: ICU, floors, NICU, ER.
- Orientation: 1 week of unit/department-specific orientation based on experience.
- Dress code: Hunter green scrubs (not provided).
- Must attend monthly department meetings.
Additional Information
- Always a team lead or charge therapist on shift; travelers may be charge if experienced and willing.
- Traveler will never be the only RT in-house.
- Facility enforces a 50-mile radius rule for candidates’ permanent address.
This position is suitable for Respiratory Therapists with NICU experience looking for a 13-week contract in a diverse clinical setting.
