Job Opportunity: ER Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Oxford, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking an ER Registered Nurse for a travel/contract position. The role involves providing emergency nursing care in a hospital setting.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, with ED experience within the last year
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Proof of I9 or Attestation
- Government issued photo ID carried during hours of service
- Background checks including 7-year criminal history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and education verification
- NURSYS verification for RN license
- Physical exam attesting ability to meet physical demands, updated annually
- Immunizations and health documents:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or declination accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray as applicable
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (positive titer, vaccination, or declination)
- Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
- Varicella (positive titer, vaccination, or declination)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
- Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within last 12 months (instant acceptable)
- Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
- Completion of facility-specific online training modules prior to start
Additional Notes
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications may be required for specific units but are not mandatory for this ER role unless specified.
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) and STABLE certifications are not required for ER.
- Annual competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency testing required as applicable.
