Job Opportunity: Rad Tech 2 UP - Cardiac Cath Lab / Interventional Radiology

Job Summary

• Administer contrast material via existing IV line or venipuncture.
• Recognize and respond to hypersensitivity or allergic reactions.
• Assist with invasive procedures setup and inventory management.
• Verify patient and chart identification, diagnosis, and treatment position.
• Document clinical information accurately.
• Provide patient care including comfort, support, safety, and confidentiality.
• Perform all essential functions of an Invasive Lab Radiologic Technologist.
• Work variable shifts and on-call duties as assigned.
• Float to all procedural areas as needed.
• Operate imaging, physiological monitoring, and related equipment; perform basic troubleshooting.
• Maintain sterile field during procedures.
• Function as scrub and monitor technician on a rotating basis.
• Assist physicians during interventional procedures.
• Eligible to take call after 6 months of orientation.

Required Skills & Experience

• Cardiac Cath Lab experience.
• Interventional Radiology experience.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Neuro Interventional experience.
• Electrophysiology (EP) experience.

Contract Length

• Approximately 72 weeks (502 days rounded to nearest week).

Required Qualifications

• Cath Lab Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year.
• Interventional Radiology Technologist experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification.
• Associate's Degree in a Related Field or Certificate in Radiologic Technology.
