Description
Job Opportunity: Home Health & Hospice RN
Location: Williston, North Dakota
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Provide nursing care within a 60-mile radius around Dickinson, including patient homes, nursing homes, and other settings. This role involves no clinical involvement beyond nursing assessments and care coordination.
Schedule
- Shift: 8 AM – 5 PM
- On-call rotation for evenings and weekends
- Holiday coverage required

Job Responsibilities
- Conduct initial and ongoing physical assessments and health history evaluations
- Develop, initiate, and revise individualized care plans based on nursing diagnoses
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Provide health care instructions to clients and families
- Identify and implement discharge planning needs
- Act as Case Manager when assigned, coordinating client care for caseload
- Prepare clinical notes and update primary physicians at least every 60 days
- Communicate client status and changes to physicians, obtaining orders as needed
- Ensure necessary equipment and services are arranged
- Supervise and evaluate home health aide care
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Dakota
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum of 1 year of Home Health experience, including experience within the last year
- Hospice experience
- BLS Certification
Additional Information
- Experience working with HomeCare HomeBase EMR preferred
- Must be able to travel within a 60-mile radius for patient care
- Candidates must not have been employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit-associated facility (including CHI or Dignity) within the past year
- Return to Office (RTO) required upfront; no additional RTO approvals after submission
Experience Requirements
- Specialty: Home Health & Hospice RN
- Required Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year of Home Health experience within the last year, plus Hospice experience
- Prior travel experience: Not required or specified
This position is ideal for experienced Home Health & Hospice RNs seeking a contract role with a structured schedule and diverse patient population.
