Description
Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse
Location: Omak, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks (with possible extension)
Start Date: ASAP
Shift: Weekdays, some weekends
Facility & Unit Information
- Critical Access Hospital with 25 beds
- Trauma Center Level IV
- Daily census approximately 10 patients
- Staffing ratio typically 1:4, occasionally 1:5 depending on admits/discharges
- Labor and Delivery unit: about 300 deliveries per year
- Two nurses per shift; OB nurses also care for postpartum patients when no labor patients are present
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Washington
- Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery nursing experience within the last year
- Experience in an Acute Care setting
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
Certifications (as applicable)
- BCLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - may be required
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - may be required
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - may be required
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) - may be required

- Scrubs not provided; any color acceptable
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Proof of I9 or attestation
- Government issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service)
- E-Verify proof or attestation
- Background checks including 7-year criminal check, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG
- State-specific search: Washington State Patrol (WSP/WATCH) search results required
- Education verification (highest degree) as requested
- NURSYS verification for RN license
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exams as applicable
- Physical exam within last 12 months
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (with exceptions for past positives)
- Immunizations or titers for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
- 9-panel drug screen within 1 year
- Seasonal flu vaccination documentation (declinations accepted) during flu season
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (booster not required)
- References: 2 professional references within 2 years required for travel positions
- Performance evaluations if previously worked with the agency over 1 year
