Description
Job Opportunity: MRI Technologist
Location: Raleigh, North Carolina
Employment Type: Clinical-Allied
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Verify patient identification and document pregnancy status for patients of childbearing age.
- Assist patients and family members requiring extra attention, ensuring patient understanding and safety.
- Demonstrate knowledge of MRI technology and cross-sectional human anatomy.
- Operate MRI scanners and related equipment proficiently, including automatic injections of MRI contrast, PACS, and image transfer systems.
- Interpret MRI protocols, select appropriate scanning parameters, and troubleshoot equipment and protocol issues.
- Administer oral and IV contrast to adult and pediatric patients following protocols and safety procedures, including lab value checks.
- Maintain accurate charge information and demographic data on PACS images.
- Perform tasks timely, maintain a clean work environment, and document incidents for quality improvement.
- Precept new employees and students.
Required Qualifications
- Valid MRI Technologist license in North Carolina
- Minimum of 1 year of MRI Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT)
- Current competency in Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS)
Experience
- Prior education, training, and experience sufficient to perform assigned tasks.
Prior Travel Experience
- Not required.
