Job Opportunity: Mammography Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)
Location: Eureka, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Facility Overview
- Acute Care Hospital
- 150 Total Staffed Beds
- Charting system: Epic
- Free parking on first day
Job Details
- Start Date: ASAP
- No floating between units required
- No on-call required
- Block schedule accommodation: Saturday to Monday
- Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid Mammography Technologist license in California
- Minimum 1 year of Mammography Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ARRT certification
- Experience working with Pediatric patients
- Experience working with Neonate patients
- Experience working with Maternal-Fetal patients
Experience Requirements
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (Mammography Tech)
- Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year in specialty, including recent experience within the last year
- Prior travel experience: Not required
Additional Compliance and Training Requirements
- Completion of Providence Health and Services WorkRamp modules annually, including:
- Regulatory requirements
- Specialty-specific modules for Radiology/Mammography
- Epic training modules completion required (for Epic charting system users)
- Fit Mask testing (N95 or equivalent) required annually for travel candidates
- Various state-specific background and registry checks as applicable (e.g., Washington and Oregon if applicable)
Scheduling and Work Environment
- No floating between units
- No on-call duties
- Block schedule available (Saturday to Monday)
- Facility allows calling off 1 shift per 2 weeks
Notes
- Facility issues radiation badges to applicable units
- Free parking on first day; assignment parking provided during orientation
- Charting system is Epic, so proficiency or willingness to complete Epic training is required
This position is ideal for Mammography Techs with appropriate California licensure and certifications seeking a travel contract in an acute care hospital setting with a defined block schedule and no on-call or floating requirements.
