Travel RN - Med Surg Telemetry

Location: Missoula, Montana
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

Facility Type: Acute Care, Level 4 Trauma, Teaching Hospital, Joint Commission Accredited
Unit: Acute Care
Specialty: Medical/Surgical Telemetry
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Weekly Hours: 36 (guaranteed)
Weekend Hours: Every third weekend
Call: None
Patient Population: Adult, Geriatric
Patient Ratio: 1:6
Number of Beds: 31
EHR System: Cerner

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Montana
Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical/Surgical Telemetry, including experience within the last year
Experience in an Acute Care setting
Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
Certifications: ACLS and BLS
Skills:
- NG tube placement and management
- Foley catheter placement and management
- Chest tube maintenance

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Cerner EMR
NIHSS certification

Additional Information

Float requirements as appropriate to experience
Common Diagnoses/Treatments: Small bowel obstructions, diabetic complications, wound care, acute kidney injury, pneumonia, sepsis
Personality Fit: Outgoing, excellent communication skills, adaptable to change
Dress Code: Scrubs required, any solid color; fluorescent colors not allowed
