Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (LDRP RN)
Location: Hillsboro, Oregon

Position Overview
- Specialty: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (LDRP RN)
- Shift Options: 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts, nights (1900-0730)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Weekend Requirement: Yes
- Call Requirement: No
- Floating: Yes, within hospital only (no floating to sister hospitals)
- Block Schedule Accommodation: No

- Pending License Accepted: Yes (application must be submitted and received by licensing board)
- Return to Office Restrictions: 1 week max
Required Experience
- Minimum 4+ years of Labor and Delivery experience
- Charge nurse experience preferred but not required
- First-time travelers NOT accepted for this assignment
- Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required
Required Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA provider only, traditional AHA certification required
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- AWHONN (Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses)
Required Skills
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) skills including initiating NRP for low to moderate risk deliveries
- Fetal Monitoring
- Triage experience
- Baby nurse/transition experience (newborn transitions)
- IV start, triage, circulate, and recovery of C-sections
- Comfortable starting CPAP and PPV until additional help arrives
Patient Population
- Low to moderate risk laboring patients
- Antepartum and postpartum patients and their newborns
- Circulate and recover C-sections in OR suite and private rooms
- Triage patients in triage rooms and provide Maternal Serum Evaluations (MSEs)

Required Qualifications & Compliance
- Active, unrestricted Oregon RN license (pending license accepted if application submitted)
- Physical exam within 1 year prior to start, confirming good physical and mental health and ability to perform job duties
- 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start, updated annually
- Drug testing: 10-panel including methamphetamines within 30 days prior to start (laboratory-based, SAMHSA certified lab)
- Immunizations and titers required:
- Tdap (within 10 years, declinations accepted with signed form)
- Negative TB test (Qgold/TSPOT within 1 year, PPD not accepted)
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (immune titer or 2 vaccines, boosters if needed)
- Hepatitis B (immune titer and 3 vaccines or signed declination)
- Varicella (immune titer or 2 vaccines, boosters if needed)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or signed declination required during flu season
- Fit testing for masks completed onsite on first day, updated annually
- Required to complete facility-specific documents including confidentiality agreements, vaccine declination/waiver forms if applicable, and respiratory questionnaire
- At least 2 professional employment references required
- Skills checklist and medication/pharmacology competency exams required annually with passing grade of 85% or higher

- Candidates must be fully available for compliance needs up until start date
- Scrubs provided for OR (no prints)
- No call required
- Floating only within the hospital, not to sister hospitals
This position is ideal for experienced Labor and Delivery RNs with strong neonatal resuscitation skills and comfort managing low to moderate risk deliveries in a teaching hospital environment.
