Description
Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse
Location: Lebanon, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule & Work Details
- Shift: 3x12 hour shifts, 3 AM - 3 PM
- Call required every other week (EOW)
- Weekends: Every other weekend (EOW)
- Holidays: As needed
- Floating: As needed
- May care for COVID-19 patients
- Tobacco and fragrance-free facility
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
Required Licenses
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for Pennsylvania
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Background checks including:
- 7-year criminal background check
- Pennsylvania State Police PATCH search (must be finalized prior to start)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM check
- HHS/OIG check
- PA FBI Fingerprinting (must be completed within 1 year of start; candidate may start with results pending but must be on file within 45 days)
- Education verification (highest level of education)
- Employment application or most recent resume
- Professional references (2 required within 3 years)
- Skills checklist (annual)
- Performance evaluations (completed onsite during assignment)
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NPT
- Immunizations or positive titers required for:
- Hepatitis B (positive titer or full vaccine series)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) - 2 vaccines or positive titers with boosters as needed
- Varicella - 2 vaccines or positive titer with boosters as needed
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Flu vaccine (required during flu season; declinations not accepted)
- COVID-19 vaccine or approved exemption/declination
- Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days of start; PPD not accepted
- Drug testing: Negative 9-panel within 1 year (required for agency only, not facility)
- Respiratory safety clearance within 1 year, renewed annually
Competency & Training Requirements
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (pass/fail) required for all RNs except OR and Home Health
- Acknowledgement of pass/fail testing required for all RNs except OR and Home Health
- Completion of required Learning Management System (LMS) modules prior to start
- New hire orientation to be completed by end of first day
Additional Facility Requirements
- Clear, professional, passport-style photo for badge
- Review and sign facility-specific documents including:
- Code of Conduct
- Confidentiality Agreement
- Commitment to Health & Wellness
- Non-Employee Affidavit
- Hepatitis B declination form (if applicable)
- Safety and Security Vehicle Registration (if applicable)
Notes
- Return to Office (RTO) maximum 7 days
- Candidate will be clinically screened for fit before final manager interview and decision
- Facility is tobacco and fragrance free; candidates should be notified prior to submission
This position is ideal for experienced Labor and Delivery RNs with EPIC experience who are comfortable with call responsibilities and working in a dynamic hospital environment.
