Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Medical Surgical / Neuro Stepdown)
Location: Memphis, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse
- Required Years of Experience: 2 years
- Shift Options: 48-hour shifts or 36-hour shifts
- Nursing Model: Team nursing ratios (discuss during interview)
- On-Call: As needed
- Weekend Requirement: As needed (no weekend block schedule, but weekend block may be considered)
- First-Time Travelers: Not accepted
- Locals: Not accepted (100-mile radius rule)
- Pending License: Not accepted; must comply with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) guidelines
- Start Date: ASAP
Required Experience & Skills
- Level I Trauma experience required
- Prior travel experience required
- Large hospital experience required
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Tennessee
- Trauma experience with at least 2 years, including experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience working with Level I Trauma patients
- Experience in an Acute Care setting
Additional Requirements
- Two recent professional references
- Background checks including statewide, county, federal, education verification, sex offender search, and Tennessee Adult Abuse Registry search
- Competency exams and annual updates as required
- Photo badge meeting strict guidelines (passport-style photo, no glasses glare, no head coverings unless religious, no piercings visible)
- Facility-specific dress code: Navy blue scrubs for RNs, no prints or embroidered scrubs allowed
Notes
- All Return to Office (RTO) requests must be included at time of submission; late RTOs will not be approved
- Only one submission per candidate per job/facility allowed
- Candidates must sign confidentiality acknowledgment prior to start
- EPIC experience candidates may test out of EPIC training during orientation
This position is at a Short Term Acute Care, Level I Trauma Center.
