Description
Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist
Location: Bemidji, Minnesota
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Provide respiratory care including ventilator management, nebulizer treatments, EKGs, BiPAP/CPAP, and bedside spirometry.
- Use equipment such as Drager ventilators, Respironics BiPAP/CPAP, Smart Vest, Micronebs, Mortara EKG carts, computerized charting, and Pyxis medication system.
- Work across multiple hospital departments including ED, ICU, Medical-Surgical, Pediatrics, OB, and Family Care areas.
Schedule
- Days and nights available.
- Both 8-hour and 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends.
- Every other weekend and possibly holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Active Minnesota Respiratory Therapist license (RRT via NBRC).
- BLS (AHA) certification required.
- ACLS and NRP certifications required.
- Graduate of an accredited respiratory care program.
- Competency in care and treatment of all ages.
- Effective communication skills and ability to prioritize daily duties.
- Must be able to work in all hospital departments listed above.
Additional Information
- Basic orientation includes hospital specifics, floor layouts, equipment storage, respiratory care department overview, hospital and department policies, and brief computer training.
- Dress code: Gray scrubs.
- Clinicians must badge in and out at the facility.
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
