Job Opportunity: RN - Med Surg (Travel)

Location: Mayfield, Kentucky
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

• Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
• Specialty: Medical – Surgical
• Facility Type: 57-bed acute care hospital with all private rooms
• Patient Population: All ages
• Patient Ratios: Up to 1:6 with PCA assistance
• EHR System: MediTech
• Shift: See shift details (36 guaranteed hours per week)
• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend / as needed
• Call Requirements: As needed
• Float Requirements: Possibility to float to like units

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky
• Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical nursing experience within the last year
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, HWC (must be current prior to start)
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as a traveler

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Experience with common diagnoses such as COPD, post-op joint care, and diabetic populations
• Kind, caring, and compassionate personality

Additional Information

• Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
• Dress Code: Scrubs of any color allowed; no branded attire from other facilities
