Job Opportunity: RN - Neurology (Neuro/Ortho/Trauma)
Location: Portland, Maine
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Neuro/Ortho/Trauma
- Shift: 7 PM - 7:30 AM or 7 AM - 7:30 PM
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
- Call Requirements: None
- Float Requirements: As needed
- Number of Beds on Unit: 26
- Patient Ratios:
- Days: 1:4-5
- Nights: 1:5-6
- EMR System: Epic
- Dress Code: Any scrub color; must maintain professional appearance
Patient Population
- Neurosurgical patients including:
- Spinal surgery
- Spine fractures
- Brain tumors
- Seizure disorders
- VP shunts
- Head bleeds
- Traumatic injuries
- Joint replacement surgery
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Maine
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 1 year of Med Surg experience within the last year
- Experience in Neurology and Neurosurgery specialties

- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
- No call responsibilities.
- Position may require floating to other units as needed.
