Travel RN Oncology Position
Location: Evansville, Indiana
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Patient assessment and intervention
- Medication administration
- Follow through with orders and observe patients
- Documentation in Electronic Health Record (EHR)
- Implement and monitor plan of care
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in Indiana (Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Completion of required Ascension exams prior to start and updated every 3 years:
- Pharmacology Exam (minimum 80%, max 2 attempts)
- Medical Surgical Exam (minimum 80%, max 2 attempts)
- Core Competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA, etc., minimum 80%)
- EKG Exam (minimum 80%, max 2 attempts)
- Completion of Ascension Skills Checklist within one year of start, updated annually
- Valid Driver’s License or State ID (must match address requirements)
- Documentation of required immunizations and health screenings:
- Two MMR vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted)
- Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
- Influenza vaccine during flu season (mask required if declined)
- Two Varicella vaccines or serological evidence of immunity (no declinations accepted)
- Tdap vaccine valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
- Positive IGRA or PPD results, chest X-ray within one year, and annual TB questionnaire
- Fit Test for respiratory protection (preferred prior to start)
- 12 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
- Verification of education relevant to clinical work within 90 days prior to start
- Employment verification for the past seven years, updated annually
- Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender, and others within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
- Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation and Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding completed prior to start
- Ascension Profile (resume or professional profile) and at least two professional references required
