Travel RN - Med Surg
Location: Lander, Wyoming

Job Description
Med/Surg Nurses provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on scientific nursing principles. Responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
- Preparing, administering, and recording prescribed medications (oral, subcutaneous, IV) and reporting adverse reactions
- Educating patients on surgical procedures and post-treatment home care needs
- Recording medical information and vital signs
- Monitoring and adjusting specialized patient equipment and interpreting electronic displays
- Providing bedside care for a variety of medical patients, including pre- and post-surgery
- Changing dressings, inserting catheters, starting IVs
- Assisting physicians during examinations and treatments
- Responding to life-saving situations per nursing standards and protocols
- Participating in discharge planning
- Utilizing time management skills and documenting care accurately and timely
- Floating between Lander and Riverton campuses as needed
- Occasionally caring for pediatric/adolescent patients (no dedicated pediatric unit)
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Wyoming
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience in an Acute Care setting
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
- ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- PALS certification issued by the American Heart Association
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Additional Notes
- Candidates may need to float between campuses depending on census
- Pediatric care may be required occasionally
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
