Job Opportunity: OT Inpatient Rehab

Location: Rio Rancho, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Specialty: Occupational Therapy (OT) - Therapy/Rehabilitation
• Patient Population: Adults, Geriatrics
• Shift Options:

  • 5x8 hours, Monday-Friday OR Tuesday-Saturday
  • Shift times: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM OR 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
• Weekend Requirement: Either Monday-Friday with 2 rotating weekend shifts or Tuesday-Saturday
• Caseload: Approximately 6 cases per day
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week (facility may call off up to 3 times during the 13-week assignment)
• Floating: No floating outside scope of practice
• Block Scheduling: Yes, open to accommodating M-F or Tues-Sat
• Local Candidates: Not accepted within 75 miles radius
• Pending State License: New Mexico license can be pending at time of submission
• Return to Office Restrictions: Greater than 7 days requires approval

Required Qualifications

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in New Mexico (pending accepted at submission)
• Minimum of 1 year of Occupational Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience working with adult and geriatric patients
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Background checks including 7-year criminal check, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and fingerprinting
• Physical exam within 1 year prior to start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
• Drug screening (10 panel, negative within 30 days of start)
• Immunizations or positive titers for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (or declination)
  • Varicella
  • Tdap vaccine (declinations acceptable)
• Annual TB questionnaire
• Flu vaccine or approved exemption required for flu season
• COVID-19 vaccine or approved exemption required
• Orientation and facility-specific document acknowledgments required
