Description
Job Opportunity: RRT - Respiratory Therapy (NICU)
Location: Birmingham, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Specialty: NICU Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Shift: Nights (7pm - 7am)
- Hours: 36 hours per week (3 shifts of 12 hours)
- Weekend Hours: Every other to every third weekend
- Call Requirements: None
- Number of Openings: 1
Unit Information
- Unit: 4th Floor Women’s NICU
- Number of Beds: 29 rooms (some accommodate multiples)
- Patient Population: Neonates 23 weeks gestation and older
- Patient Ratios: Two RTs on night shift
- Equipment Used:
- Bunnell Jet Ventilators (required experience)
- Hamilton C6 Ventilators (preferred)
- F&P Heaters
- Hamilton T1 Ventilators
- EMR System: Cerner
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Alabama
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
- Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Experience working with high-risk patients

This travel RRT position is ideal for a respiratory therapist with at least 3 years of NICU experience, comfortable working night shifts in a Level 3 NICU environment, and skilled in managing complex ventilators including Bunnell Jet Ventilators.
