Description
Travel ICU Registered Nurse - New Mexico
Location: Silver City, NM
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- ICU Registered Nurse with broad knowledge across various ICU areas.
- Patient populations may include OB, CICU, SICU, MICU, or PICU.
- Must be prepared to work in any of these ICU specialties.
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (3x12s).
Required Qualifications
- License: Current New Mexico RN license or Multi-State RN license.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience.
- Certifications:
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- PALS preferred (required to be obtained within 3 months of hire if working in ICU)
- Other Requirements:
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year.
- Up-to-date immunizations including Tdap, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Varicella, Hepatitis B.
- 10-panel drug screen including THC within the last 12 months.
- Physical exam attesting ability to meet physical demands.
- N95 fit mask required (specific acceptable models listed).
- Background checks including 7-year criminal history, education verification, fingerprinting (state-mandated).
- Proof of 2 clinical references.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with pediatric advanced life support (PALS).
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) preferred for ER RNs.
- NIH Stroke Certification preferred for ICU.
Additional Notes
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
- Facility requires multiple signed acknowledgments and policy reviews prior to start.
- Influenza vaccination is strongly encouraged; unvaccinated staff must wear masks during flu season.
- Candidates must carry government-issued photo ID during hours of service.
This position is ideal for experienced ICU RNs comfortable with diverse critical care populations and flexible to work various ICU specialties.
