Description
Job Opportunity: MRI Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)
Location: Kinston, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- 7 days on, 7 days off
- Work hours: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Work week: Wednesday through following Tuesday
- Weekdays: MRI shifts 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- On-call for MRI: 1 weekend per month, 6:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Weekend requirements: Perform CT exams every other weekend, 8:30 AM – 8:00 PM
Job Description
- Perform a variety of MRI exams using Magnetic Resonance Imaging principles with independent judgment and initiative.
- Communicate directly with Radiologists to set protocols and obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Perform CT exams and invasive procedures using computed tomography, working closely with Radiologists to ensure quality outcomes.
Required Certifications and Licenses
- ARRT MRI certification (required)
- ARRT CT certification (required)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required)
Education
- Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology
- Completion of an approved MRI course is desired
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Radiology (MRI/CT)
- EPIC experience preferred
- Charge experience preferred
Staffing Ratios
- Days: 1:2
- Weekends: 1:2
Required Background and Health Documents
- 7-year criminal background check within 90 days of start, updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start, updated every 30 days while on assignment
- Education verification within 90 days of start
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
- Immunizations and health requirements including:
- Tdap vaccine within 10 years (titer not accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start (or proof of past positive with required documentation)
- 2 MMR vaccines or positive titers for Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella
- Hepatitis B vaccine series and/or declination
- Varicella immunity (2 vaccines, positive titer, or physician-documented history)
- Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season (medical or religious exemptions accepted with approval)
- COVID vaccination proof if vaccinated (requirement may be waived if not vaccinated)

- Facility-specific orientation and safety training modules to be completed during orientation
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid MRI Technologist license in North Carolina
- Minimum 1 year of MRI Technologist experience within the last year
- Experience as a CT Technologist
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Notes
- No local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius
- Candidates must include Return to Office (RTO) status in submission
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
