Job Opportunity: RN - HVI Proc IR

Location: Urbana, Illinois
Employment Type: Clinical Nursing
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Provide direct 1:1 nursing care to adult patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Perform initial patient assessments and develop, implement, and modify plans of care based on patient and family needs.
Administer moderate sedation and other medications safely according to policies.
Perform hemodynamic monitoring, identify life-threatening arrhythmias, and implement appropriate clinical treatments.
Collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective care delivery.
Participate in quality improvement and evidence-based practice projects.
Maintain accurate documentation of nursing care and procedure events.
Act as a safety advocate and respond to emergent situations.
Work within a small, cohesive team of RNs and Radiology Technologists.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Illinois.
Minimum 3 years of Interventional Radiology nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing.
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications issued by the American Heart Association.
Experience working with adult patients.
Proficient in care involving venous central lines and tube changes.
Experience with embolization procedures (arterial and venous).
Experience with venous thrombectomy procedures.

No prior travel experience required.

Generally speaking, Host Healthcare doesn't always have the highest rate on the market. Having gone with competing agencies in the past, I have often been disappointed and unsupported and ultimately found it wasn't worth the small pay bump
