Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist (PT)

Location: Kahuku, Hawaii
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Treat an average of 7 patients per 8-hour shift with 50-minute one-on-one treatment sessions.
• Patient types include post-op, sports rehab, generalized weakness, low back pain, knee pain, shoulder pain, and rare pelvic floor dysfunction cases.
• Work settings include post-acute inpatient, acute inpatient, and outpatient care.
• Responsible for high-quality documentation using Cerner and POC systems, with expectations to complete inpatient documentation the same day.
• Collaborate professionally and flexibly within a small team including one Physical Therapy Assistant; no rehab aides available.
• Shifts are 8 hours, scheduled by the manager, operating Monday through Saturday roughly from 8 AM to 5 PM.
• Weekend work may be required.
• Holiday coverage usually includes at least 1 or 2 major holidays during the assignment.
• Dress code is business casual with solid scrubs and athletic shoes preferred.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Hawaii
• Minimum of 1 year of Physical Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience in Acute Care, Inpatient, Outpatient, Post-Acute, and Rehabilitation settings
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Additional Information

• Orientation includes HR training, EMR training, and gradual patient load increase over the first two weeks.
