Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist
Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide evaluation and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies.
- Assess patients for appropriate treatment types and frequencies; develop and implement care plans based on diagnosis.
- Monitor patient condition and respiratory equipment.
- Perform advanced respiratory care modalities.
- Evaluate respiratory practices, medication administration, and treatments based on patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families about health conditions and community support resources.
- Respond to emergency resuscitation team codes.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Oklahoma
- Respiratory Therapist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
- National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) certification
Required Onboarding and Compliance Credentials
- Respiratory Therapy Contract Worker Onboarding (including education attestation).
- License and primary source verification within 30 days prior to assignment start.
- Ascension Core Competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA, etc.) completed within the last year.
- Immunizations and health requirements:
- MMR (two vaccines or positive titer; no declinations accepted).
- Fit Test (annual requirement).
- Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination.
- Influenza vaccine (seasonal; exemptions require mask wearing).
- TB screening (positive IGRA or PPD with negative chest X-ray within one year).
- Varicella immunity or vaccination (no declinations accepted).
- Tdap vaccine (valid for 10 years; no declinations accepted).
- Health Statement or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually.
- Drug screening: 12-panel urine drug screen within 30 days prior to start, updated annually.
- Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry, and others within 30 days prior to start.
- Employment and education verifications within 90 days prior to start.
- Skills checklist completed within one year of start and updated annually.
- Driver’s license or state ID (valid, matching address requirements).
- Professional references: at least two prior to first assignment.
- Badge photo with white or blue background (no alterations).
Additional Notes
- The Respiratory Therapy Contract Worker Form is completed onsite.
- Some onboarding documents must be uploaded by the agency prior to or at start.
- Annual updates required for many credentials and health requirements.
