Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) - Washington, Renton
Job Overview
Join a Seattle-area hospital with an immediate opening for a Radiologic Technologist specializing in Cardiovascular Technology (CVT) or Advanced American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART) with Fluoroscopy experience. The position is primarily in the Cath Lab with additional radiation duties, supporting a variety of interventional and peripheral cases.
Contract Length
- 16 weeks
Work Schedule
- Nights, 4 shifts of 10 hours each (4x10s)
- Friday through Monday, 8:00 PM to 8:30 AM
- No on-call required
Required Qualifications
- ARRT certification
- BLS certification
- Washington State Radiologic Technologist license
- IV certification (or ability to obtain and maintain)
- No history of license disciplinary actions accepted
Experience
- Specialty: Radiologic Technology (Rad Tech)
- Required years of experience: Not explicitly stated; assume standard competency for CVT/AART with Fluoro in Cath Lab settings
- Prior travel experience: Not required
Essential Responsibilities
- Produce quality images in various settings including interventional, trauma, OR, portables, C-arm, and diagnostic exams
- Assist in monitoring and documenting conscious sedation and procedures
- Support physicians during procedures by setting up sterile trays, providing patient support, and performing fluoroscopy
- Start peripheral IVs for contrast or medication under physician supervision
- Follow radiation protection standards and ALARA principles
- Document equipment issues and coordinate service calls
- Maintain professional credentials and education records
- Transport patients safely as needed
- Participate in PACS system utilization and support
- Use computer systems for lab values, charge entry, and report access
- Document clinical history and symptoms accurately
- Perform other related duties as assigned
