Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Job Details

• Shift: 1st shift/days (5 days a week, 8-hour shifts, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM)
• Schedule: Every 3rd weekend, on-call, holidays required
• Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in specialty (Radiology / Cardiology)
• First-timers Accepted: Yes
• On-call: Yes, required as needed
• Floating: No floating outside scope of practice
• Locals Accepted: Yes, no radius restrictions
• Pending License: Not accepted; active Illinois license required
• RTO Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days off
• Guaranteed Hours: Client may cancel up to 36 hours per 13-week assignment without pay

Required Qualifications

• Valid X-Ray Technician license in Illinois
• Minimum 1 year of X-Ray Technician experience within the last year
• BLS certification
• ARRT certification
• Experience working with adult patients
• Experience in an acute care setting
• Experience in an outpatient setting
• Abdomen X-Ray experience including decubitus, supine, and upright views
• Chest X-Ray experience including AP, lateral decubitus, routine, and upper airway (soft tissue neck) views

Special Requirements

• Must be physically present in Illinois 3 business days prior to start for fingerprinting and compliance
• Fingerprints must be completed in Illinois (cannot be done out of state)
• Must meet fingerprinting and background check requirements as per Illinois Department of Public Health

Additional Requirements

• Background checks covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
• Drug screening (9-panel) within 30 days of start
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, including labs within 7 days of contract signing
• Immunizations and/or titers required: MMR (Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella), Hepatitis B, Varicella
• TB test (2-step PPD, TSPOT, or Qgold) within 1 year of start
• Annual TB questionnaire
• Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required by 11/30 annually
• Competency exam required for clinical candidates
• Photo for badge required before start
• References: 2 professional references required for clinical candidates
