Job Opportunity: ICU Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Norwalk, Ohio
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Nights, 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts (7 PM - 7 AM)
• Float Requirement: Must be willing to float to MedSurg unit
• Local Candidates: Local candidates are acceptable at the same rate
• Travel Experience: Prior travel experience required

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience with a minimum of 2 years, including experience within the last year
• Minimum of 2 years total travel experience
• ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in critical care / ICU highly considered

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Proof of I9 or Attestation
• Government-issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service)
• Background checks including 7-year criminal history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG
• Fingerprinting: Ohio BCI and FBI fingerprint results within 12 months of start
• Education verification (if applicable)
• Physical exam attesting ability to meet physical demands (initial and updated annually)
• Immunizations and health screenings:

  • Tdap vaccine within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccinations (boosters required if low titers, no declinations)
  • Hepatitis B: Titer or vaccine series (declination not accepted)
  • Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccinations (boosters required if low titers, no declinations)
  • Flu vaccination required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); exemptions only for medical/religious reasons with facility approval
  • COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required
• Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within last 12 months (instant acceptable)
• Competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency as applicable
• References: Proof of 2 clinical references required
• Employment application/resume required

Additional Notes

• Fit testing for respirators will be completed onsite; candidates must complete the facility’s online OSHA Respirator Questionnaire prior to start
• Prior travel experience is explicitly required for this position
• Facility-specific forms and onboarding documents must be completed prior to start

This position is ideal for experienced ICU RNs with prior travel experience looking for a 13-week night shift contract in Ohio with a reputable healthcare facility.
