Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (Cardiopulmonary)
Location: Aberdeen, Washington
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
- Shift Time: 05:30 AM - 06:00 PM
- Specialty: Cardiopulmonary
- Discipline: Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Work Environment: Acute care setting with a focus on respiratory care
- Responsibilities:
- Provide, coordinate, and direct individualized comprehensive respiratory care based on patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Function with minimal supervision after orientation
- Accountable to Cardiopulmonary Director or Lead RRT in their absence
Required Qualifications
- Current Washington State Respiratory Care Practitioner license
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP (must maintain)
- Preferably 1 year of current acute care experience; new graduates may be considered
- Strong OB (obstetrics) experience preferred
- Physical ability to:
- Lift 50 pounds from floor to waist and from wheelchair to bed level
- Lift 5 pounds overhead
- Pull 50 pounds from stretcher to bed
- Push 150-pound loaded stretcher for 300 feet
- Adequate auditory and visual abilities to perform procedures and charting
- Ability to meet specific criteria for the Cardiopulmonary department
Additional Information
- Must be a team player
- Any requested time off (RTO) must be pre-approved and added to the end of the contract

Summary
This is a 13-week contract Respiratory Therapist position in Washington state requiring a current WA license and certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP.
