Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Med/Surg - Nights
Location: Lawton, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Contract
Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM
Patient Ratio: 1:5
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Develop and implement total nursing care for patients through assessment, nursing diagnosis, and patient care plans.
- Provide leadership by collaborating with ancillary nursing and other patient care team personnel to maintain professional nursing standards.
- Care for a diverse patient population including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
- Prepare, administer, and document prescribed medications.
- Perform clinical tasks such as changing dressings, inserting catheters, and starting IVs.
- Adjust specialized medical equipment and interpret/record measurements.
- Monitor patient vitals and report adverse medication reactions promptly.
- May float to other Med-Surg units as needed.
- Fair share of weekend shifts required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months Med/Surg nursing experience.
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for Oklahoma.
