Job Opportunity: Certified Surgical Technician (CST) - Operating Room

Location: Arlington, Texas
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

Unit: Surgery & Endoscopy
Number of Beds: 10 ORs / 2 Endoscopy suites
Staffing:
- Day Shift: 1 Charge RN, 3 RNs, 2 CNAs, 1-3 sitters, CSTs, Anesthesia techs, orderly, equipment techs
- Night Shift: Charge RN, RNs, CSTs
Patient Ratios: 1:1
Equipment: Operating Room equipment
Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech

Job Description

Perform all types of surgical procedures except transplants
Work collaboratively in a flexible, team-oriented environment
On-call and holiday coverage required

Required Qualifications

Certified Surgical Technician (CST) certification
Certified Surgical Technologist experience
CVOR Technologist with a minimum of 5 years of experience
CVOR Technologist experience within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Experience with Meditech EMR system

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in neurology or endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP)
Experience with vascular and advanced surgical procedures

Additional Information

No floating to other units
Hospital provides scrubs for attire
On-call and holiday coverage required
