Job Opportunity: Certified Surgical Technician (CST) - Operating Room
Location: Arlington, Texas
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit Information
- Unit: Surgery & Endoscopy
- Number of Beds: 10 ORs / 2 Endoscopy suites
- Staffing:
- Day Shift: 1 Charge RN, 3 RNs, 2 CNAs, 1-3 sitters, CSTs, Anesthesia techs, orderly, equipment techs
- Night Shift: Charge RN, RNs, CSTs
- Patient Ratios: 1:1
- Equipment: Operating Room equipment
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech
Job Description
- Perform all types of surgical procedures except transplants
- Work collaboratively in a flexible, team-oriented environment
- On-call and holiday coverage required
Required Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technician (CST) certification
- Certified Surgical Technologist experience
- CVOR Technologist with a minimum of 5 years of experience
- CVOR Technologist experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience with Meditech EMR system
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in neurology or endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP)
- Experience with vascular and advanced surgical procedures
Additional Information
- No floating to other units
- Hospital provides scrubs for attire
- On-call and holiday coverage required
