Job Opportunity: Mammography Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: Jacksonville, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule

• Monday start
• Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
• 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (40 hours/week)
• No call, no weekends

Job Description

• Must have mammographer training
• 1 year of mammographer experience preferred
• Meditech experience preferred
• First-time travelers are accepted

Required Qualifications

• Valid Mammography Technologist license in North Carolina
• Mammography Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
• ARRT certification (Registered by the ARRT or registry eligible; if registry eligible, must acquire ARRT within specified guidelines)
• BLS certification required

Experience Requirements

• Specialty experience: Minimum 1 year mammographer experience preferred (no higher conflicting requirement found)
• Prior travel experience: Not required (first-time travelers accepted)

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Copy of radiology/mammography degree required at submission
• Background check: 7-year criminal check within 90 days of start, updated annually
• Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (instant drug screens not accepted except as placeholder)
• Education verification: Diploma or transcript required within 90 days of start
• Physical exam: Within 1 year of start
• Immunizations and health documents:

  • Tdap vaccine within 10 years (titer not accepted)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer required
  • Hepatitis B titer required (vaccine series alone not accepted)
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer required
  • Flu vaccine required during flu season or approved declination
  • COVID vaccination proof if vaccinated; declination form required if unvaccinated
• Facility-specific documents and attestations must be completed prior to or during orientation (e.g., confidentiality, code of conduct, vehicle registration, TB questionnaire, COVID screening)

Additional Notes

• No local candidates within 50-mile radius
• Candidates will be reviewed/interviewed by management
• Orientation includes LMS modules and facility-specific training
• OSHA, HIPAA, and Joint Commission annual training required

This position is ideal for Mammography Technologists seeking a travel contract with a structured weekday schedule and no weekend or on-call duties. First-time travel candidates are welcome.
