Job Opportunity: NICU Registered Nurse (Level II)

Job Details

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for New Jersey
• Experience with Epic charting system
• Certifications (as applicable):

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • Other certifications as applicable (e.g., CHEMO, TNCC, CPI)
• Background checks including 7-year history, education verification, and federal exclusions (EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG)
• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Fit mask test within 1 year of start (annual renewal required)
• Immunizations and health documentation:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (positive titer or vaccination)
  • Hepatitis B (positive titer, series, or declination)
  • Varicella (positive titer, vaccination, or documented history)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption (required during flu season)
  • COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
• Unit-specific skills checklist (annual)
• Work history verification for 7 years (NJ requires minimum 1 year prior verified with limited gaps)

• Valid Driver’s License or State ID
• Completion of employment application/resume
• Photo for badge
• Orientation and safety manual acknowledgement
• Competency exams as applicable (medication/pharmacology, color blindness, core competencies)

Notes

• Fingerprinting is required only for New Mexico placements (not applicable here)
• Prior travel experience is not required for this position
• Contract length is interpreted as 13 weeks based on the data provided

This position is ideal for NICU RNs with at least 2 years of experience who are comfortable working day shifts and have experience with Epic charting. The role requires compliance with comprehensive health, background, and certification requirements.
