Description

Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Travel/Contract Position

Location: Greenville, South Carolina
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (Interventional Radiology)
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Work Schedule

  • 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM) with a day off after call
    OR
  • 5 shifts per week, 8 hours each (Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
  • Call required: one night per week and every 5th weekend
  • Floating between units required

Required Experience

  • Minimum 3 years critical care nursing experience, preferably Neuro ICU
  • Minimum 2 years experience in the specialty field (Interventional Radiology)
  • Must have experience in IR, Special Procedures, and Neuro work settings
  • Must have at least 1 year of EPIC documentation system experience

Required Certifications & Licenses

  • ARRT (Registered Radiologic Technologist)
  • South Carolina state license for Radiology
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)

Systems & Equipment

  • Medication system: Omnicell
  • Documentation system: EPIC (1 year experience required)

Compliance & Onboarding Requirements

  • Background check (7-year history, including aliases and all states/counties lived/worked in last 7 years)
  • Drug screening (5-panel, updated annually)
  • Physical exam within 1 year of start date
  • Immunizations and health documents including:
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days of start
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine (if working in high-risk areas)
    • Flu vaccine or approved exemption (required seasonally)
    • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B documentation or immunity
  • Annual competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests
  • Pass/fail testing for medication and arrhythmia (for RNs) prior to start
  • Online orientation modules (approx. 12 hours) to be completed within 72 hours of assignment
  • Badge photo meeting specific requirements
  • Floating policy acknowledgment (annual)
  • HIPAA and safety training acknowledgment

  • Fingerprint background checks may be required depending on prior residency
  • Candidates must carry a valid driver’s license for computer access setup
  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
  • Orientation includes a respirator fit test onsite (N95 masks commonly used)

Generally speaking, Host Healthcare doesn't always have the highest rate on the market. Having gone with competing agencies in the past, I have often been disappointed and unsupported and ultimately found it wasn't worth the small pay bump
