Description
Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Travel/Contract Position
Location: Greenville, South Carolina
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (Interventional Radiology)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM) with a day off after call
OR - 5 shifts per week, 8 hours each (Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
- Call required: one night per week and every 5th weekend
- Floating between units required
Required Experience
- Minimum 3 years critical care nursing experience, preferably Neuro ICU
- Minimum 2 years experience in the specialty field (Interventional Radiology)
- Must have experience in IR, Special Procedures, and Neuro work settings
- Must have at least 1 year of EPIC documentation system experience
Required Certifications & Licenses
- ARRT (Registered Radiologic Technologist)
- South Carolina state license for Radiology
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
Systems & Equipment
- Medication system: Omnicell
- Documentation system: EPIC (1 year experience required)
Compliance & Onboarding Requirements
- Background check (7-year history, including aliases and all states/counties lived/worked in last 7 years)
- Drug screening (5-panel, updated annually)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start date
- Immunizations and health documents including:
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days of start
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine (if working in high-risk areas)
- Flu vaccine or approved exemption (required seasonally)
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B documentation or immunity
- Annual competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests
- Pass/fail testing for medication and arrhythmia (for RNs) prior to start
- Online orientation modules (approx. 12 hours) to be completed within 72 hours of assignment
- Badge photo meeting specific requirements
- Floating policy acknowledgment (annual)
- HIPAA and safety training acknowledgment
Additional Notes
- Fingerprint background checks may be required depending on prior residency
- Candidates must carry a valid driver’s license for computer access setup
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
- Orientation includes a respirator fit test onsite (N95 masks commonly used)
