Description
Job Opportunity: MRI Tech (Rotating Shift)
Location: Vail, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Perform diagnostic MRI and X-ray examinations ensuring quality, efficiency, and continuity of patient care and imaging workflow.
Schedule
- Rotating shift
- 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
- Guaranteed 32 hours per week
- Start Date: April 22, 2026
Essential Job Functions
- Perform all MRI and radiographic examinations according to protocols
- Review exams for technical accuracy and communicate results to care team
- Verify patient identity and exam orders for consistency with clinical diagnosis
- Maintain collaborative communication with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare team
- Adhere to department policies including quality assurance, safety, radiation protection, infection control, and confidentiality
- Use hospital information systems and PACS for patient documentation
- Monitor and maintain supply inventory in exam and dressing rooms
- Model organizational values and Just Culture principles
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Must be HIPAA compliant
Required Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 1 year MRI Tech experience preferred
- Previous healthcare experience required
Licenses & Certifications
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with MRI credentials OR American Registry of MRI Technologists (ARMRIT) required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Skills
- Computer proficiency or ability to obtain within 90 days for online learning and documentation
- Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking)
Physical Demands
- Frequent standing, walking, sitting, bending, twisting, and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Requires full range of body motion, manual dexterity, and eye/hand coordination
- Exposure to radiation, chemicals, biological hazards, noise, and stress
- Ability to work irregular hours and under stressful conditions
- Exposure to communicable diseases and body fluids possible
