Job Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Telemetry (Travel)

Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Work in a 36-bed Renal Unit caring for patients with kidney-related conditions, including acute or chronic kidney disease requiring renal replacement therapy.
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6.
Specialize in post-hemodialysis and ongoing peritoneal dialysis care.
Collaborate closely with nephrologists, family practice providers, and hospitalists.
Support patients throughout their diagnosis, treatment, and recovery journey.
Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals.
Work schedule options: 36 or 48 hours per week.
Required to work holidays as needed and every other weekend.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Alabama
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Med Surg / Telemetry nursing
Current AHA BLS or Red Cross certification

Additional Information

Position is patient-facing and clinical.
Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech.
Dress code: Solid navy scrubs.
Guaranteed hours: 36 per week.
Parking available.
