Job Opportunity: Med Surg GCU Nurse (RN)

Location: Kearney, Nebraska
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Traveling Med-Surg nurse assignment covering general, ortho, neuro, and spine med-surg patients
12-hour shifts
Patient ratio: 1:6 max (Day shift M-F ratio 1:5)
Floating requirement: First to float to PCU for MSU assignment unless telemetry trained
Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
Holiday requirement: Cannot request more than 1 holiday off during contract (typically May-Sept and Nov-Jan)
Shift options: 0600-1830 or 1800-0630
Facility size: 23 beds

Required Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) license
BLS (AHA or ARC) certification
ACLS certification
NIHSS certification

Cons

Generally speaking, Host Healthcare doesn't always have the highest rate on the market. Having gone with competing agencies in the past, I have often been disappointed and unsupported and ultimately found it wasn't worth the small pay bump
