Job Opportunity: RN - ICU (Travel)

Location: Mason City, Iowa
Employment Type: Travel
Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every 3rd day / Every Other Holiday (EOH)
Contract Length: 12 weeks


Required Qualifications

  • License: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for Iowa.
  • Specialty Experience: ICU nursing experience (years not explicitly stated; assume minimum 1+ year ICU experience).
  • Certifications:
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) - American Heart Association certification required.
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - required for ICU.
    • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification.
    • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) - optional but preferred.
  • Health and Safety:
    • Fit Test (for respirators).

    • Criminal Background Check (Federal, Nationwide, County - last 7 years).
    • Social Security Number Verification.
    • Education Verification (highest level of academic education).
    • EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) check.
    • GSA/OIG (General Services Administration/Office of Inspector General) exclusion check.
    • NSO (National Sex Offender) check.
    • OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control) sanctions check.
    • Iowa-specific Child and Adult Dependent Abuse Training and registry checks.
  • Professional Requirements:
    • Trinity Code of Conduct Form.
    • Trinity I9 form.
    • Confidentiality and Information System Security Agreement.
    • Integrity and Audit Services Form.
    • Non-Employee Upload Form.
    • Specialty Specific Competency Testing (completed within last year).
    • Trinity Joint Commission Testing (CORE Exam within last year).
    • Trinity Skills Checklist (clinical contractors).

Generally speaking, Host Healthcare doesn't always have the highest rate on the market. Having gone with competing agencies in the past, I have often been disappointed and unsupported and ultimately found it wasn't worth the small pay bump
