Job Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Telemetry

Location: Biddeford, Maine
Employment Type: Travel

Position Details

Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)
Unit: Medical-Surgical Telemetry (MS4)
Number of Beds: 45
Shift Hours: 36 hours per week guaranteed
Call Requirements: 1 call shift in an 8-week block
Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
Patient Ratios:
- Days: 1 nurse to 4-5 patients
- Nights: 1 nurse to 5-6 patients
EMR System: EPIC

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Maine
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience, with at least some experience within the last year
Telemetry experience
Experience in an inpatient setting
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification

Preferred Qualifications

IMC (Intermediate Care) experience preferred

Work Environment & Culture

Type of Patients: Medical-surgical, cardiac acute inpatient
Dress Code:
- Scrub color: Any

Cons

Generally speaking, Host Healthcare doesn't always have the highest rate on the market. Having gone with competing agencies in the past, I have often been disappointed and unsupported and ultimately found it wasn't worth the small pay bump
