Job Opportunity: LTC/SNF Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Sioux Falls, South Dakota

Contract Length: 12 weeks

Job Description

Seeking an RN traveler with recent experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) / Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) settings. The role involves working with elderly patients with multiple diagnoses in a facility with a current census of 42 beds.

Requirements

Experience: Minimum 2 years recent LTC/SNF specialty experience
Licensure: Active South Dakota RN license
Certifications: Current AHA BLS certification required
Skills:
- Charge nurse experience
- Familiarity with PointClickCare (PCC) electronic medical records system

Work Details

Shift: Full-time day shift (6:00 AM – 6:30 PM)
Shift Length: 8 or 12 hours
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday
Staff Ratios:
- Day shift ratio approximately 1:21
- At most 1:42 patients per nurse
Orientation:
- 1 day location-specific orientation
- Up to 3 days floor orientation with staff

Patient Population

Elderly patients with multiple diagnoses

Additional Notes

No on-call or call-back required or billable
Backouts or quits with less than 14 days’ notice incur a fee
Local rates apply within 80 miles or if using facility housing
