Job Opportunity: Radiology Tech
Location: Louisville, Kentucky
Employment Type: Clinical-Allied
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
The Registered Radiologic Technologist is responsible for producing and retaining high-quality diagnostic images using imaging, computer, and other equipment. The role requires thorough knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and image quality. Responsibilities include preparing patients for procedures, educating and addressing patient concerns, ensuring age-appropriate communication and safety, and applying radiation safety techniques to minimize exposure. The technologist also oversees and trains students in patient care and imaging procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and retain high-quality diagnostic images that meet or exceed standards.
- Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and image quality.
- Prepare patients for procedures and provide education and support.
- Ensure age-appropriate communication, safety, and patient education.
- Apply radiation safety techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
- Oversee and train students in patient care and imaging services.
- Maintain infection control and quality control standards.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiology Technologist license in Kentucky
- Minimum 2 years of Radiology Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- ARRT certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
