Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg (Adult) - Night Shift

Location: St Johnsbury, Vermont
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Night shift position primarily caring for adult patients with occasional pediatric patients (not a pediatric floor; pediatric-only RNs should not apply).
Provide comprehensive medical, surgical, outpatient, observation, swing bed, and pediatric care in a general Med/Surg unit.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to meet the diverse needs of patients using the Nursing Process for critical decision-making.
Focus on holistic care addressing patients' age, physiological, spiritual, psychosocial, and developmental needs.
Accountable to the Unit Director and work closely with Clinical Nurse Lead and/or Nursing Supervisor.
Must be able to start on 3/25/26.

Required Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) license in Vermont or multi-state RN license.
Minimum of 3 years acute care experience (preference for candidates familiar with Meditech).
Current BLS (American Heart Association) certification.
Current ACLS certification.
Flu shot required (no exceptions).

Additional Information

Travelers will start on Wednesdays.
During orientation week, hours may be adjusted due to midweek start.
Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.

Cons

Generally speaking, Host Healthcare doesn't always have the highest rate on the market. Having gone with competing agencies in the past, I have often been disappointed and unsupported and ultimately found it wasn't worth the small pay bump
