Description
Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (Registered), Night Shift
Location: Grand Junction, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide respiratory therapy treatments including:
- Oxygen therapy
- Nebulizer treatments
- Intermittent positive pressure breathing treatments
- Chest physiotherapy
- Ventilator management
- Incentive spirometry
- Sputum induction
- Perform cardiopulmonary diagnostics such as:
- Electrocardiograms
- Cardiac stress testing (Lexiscan, dypridimal, dobutamine)
- Stress echocardiogram
- Tilt test
- Holter monitoring
- Pulmonary function testing
- Arterial blood sampling and analysis
- Bronchoscopy assistance
- Electroencephalograms
- Home sleep studies and nocturnal oximetry
- Document patient records according to departmental standards
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associates Degree preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in respiratory therapy
- Current BLS certification
- ACLS certification required within 6 months of employment
- Current, unrestricted Colorado license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- CRT required; RRT within 2 years; NRP preferred
