Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (ER) - Travel/Contract

Location: Memphis, Tennessee
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Shift: Nights (may change based on permanent staff scheduling)

Job Description

Work in a Level I Trauma Center, Short Term Acute Care hospital.
Must be willing to work 48-hour shifts.
Large hospital experience preferred.
On-call and weekend shifts required as needed.
No local candidates accepted (100-mile radius rule).
No pending licenses accepted; must comply with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) guidelines.
Weekend block scheduling generally not accommodated (may consider weekend block).

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee.
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year.
Experience working with Level I Trauma patients.
Trauma experience.
Minimum 2 years of total travel nursing experience.
Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by AHA or ARC.
Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification issued by AHA or ARC.
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Additional Notes

Prior travel experience is explicitly required (minimum 2 years travel experience and recent ER experience).
First-time travelers generally not accepted unless they have over 3 years recent ER experience.
Strict compliance with all licensing, certification, and immunization requirements.
Dress code: Navy blue scrubs for RNs; no prints or embroidered scrubs allowed.
Photo badge required with strict guidelines (passport-style photo, no glasses, no head coverings except for religious reasons, no piercings visible).
Onsite fit test and EPIC questionnaire required for RNs.
Must submit all required documentation including driver’s license, social security card, I-9, and others prior to start.

This position is ideal for experienced ER Registered Nurses with prior travel experience looking for a night shift contract in a Level I Trauma Center in Memphis, TN.

Generally speaking, Host Healthcare doesn't always have the highest rate on the market. Having gone with competing agencies in the past, I have often been disappointed and unsupported and ultimately found it wasn't worth the small pay bump
