Travel RN - Med Surg (Neuro)
Location: Austin, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Call Requirements: No call required
Unit Information
- Unit: Neurology - 4 West
- Number of Beds: 40
- Staffing:
- Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 8 RNs, 4 PCTs
- Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 7 RNs, 4 PCTs
- Patient Ratios:
- Day: 5-6 patients per nurse
- Night: 6 patients per nurse
- EMR System: Meditech
- Permanent Positions Available: Yes
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 1 year of Med Surg experience within the last year
- Neurology experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Knowledge of NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
Preferred Qualifications
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIH) knowledge preferred
