Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg (Nights)

Location: Saginaw, Michigan

Job Description

• Work under the supervision of the Med-Surg Nurse Manager.
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and supervise individual patient care on the nursing unit according to established policies and procedures.
• Responsible for directing co-workers in implementing the patient’s plan of care.
• Provide nursing care using the Nursing Process:

  • Complete nursing assessments and document appropriately.
  • Develop and implement plans of care based on patient assessments.
  • Evaluate patient responses and update plans of care.
  • Oversee delegation of patient care tasks to unit staff.
• Patient population includes General Med/Surg (Oncology, Obstetrics, Hospice, Medical & Surgical Patients).

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of Med Surg experience (required).
• Med/Surg Observation experience (required).
• Active Michigan RN license (must be verifiable via LARA and/or Nursys).
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Work history and skills checklist current to within 1 year, pertinent to Med Surg specialty.
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years.

Additional Information

• Facility considers local candidates within a 50-mile radius for this 13-week contract.
• All scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission; no scheduling changes will be approved after the offer.
